1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JesType, a desktop speech-to-text application, and the related website and services operated by Bonjes, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands.

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using JesType, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. Software License

Upon purchase, Bonjes grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use JesType on up to 3 (three) devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the software to build a competing product or service
• Circumvent license enforcement or device activation limits

Your license key includes 12 months of free updates from the date of purchase. After this period, the software continues to work but you will need a new license to receive further updates.

JesType processes all audio locally on your device using open-source speech recognition models. No audio data is sent to external servers. Transcription accuracy depends on factors including microphone quality, background noise, and accent — Bonjes makes no guarantee of accuracy.

3. Purchasing

JesType is available as a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Bonjes does not store your payment information.

After payment, you will receive your license key via email and on the confirmation page. Your license key is delivered digitally and immediately.

4. Withdrawal Rights (EU)

Under EU consumer protection law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. However, by downloading or activating the software, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the download or activation begins.

If you have not yet downloaded or activated the software, you may request a full refund within 14 days by contacting hello@jestype.com.

5. Limitation of Liability

JesType is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Bonjes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the software. In no event shall Bonjes' total liability exceed the amount you paid for the software.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell, lease, or commercially redistribute the software or license keys
• Share your license key with others
• Circumvent device activation limits or license enforcement mechanisms
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose

Violation of these terms may result in revocation of your license without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

JesType, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Bonjes. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. The open-source speech recognition models used by JesType are subject to their own respective licenses.

8. Changes to Terms

Bonjes may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or email. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Leiden, the Netherlands.
